A block of LaTeX math, typically between \( … \) or fenced with "math".
On a new line:
$$ \int_{-\infty}^{\infty} e^{-x^2} dx = \sqrt{\pi} $$Or as a code block:
```math
\int_{-\infty}^{\infty} e^{-x^2} dx = \sqrt{\pi}
