Return a normalized path.

Synopsis

std::string
normalizePath(std::string_view pathName);

Description

This function returns a new path based on applying the following changes to the passed path:

  • "." and ".." are resolved

  • Separators made uniform

  • Separators are replaced with the native separator

Return Value

The normalized path.
