The `lhs` daily timetable is less than the `rhs` daily timetable if `lhs.initialTransitionCode() < rhs.initialTransitionCode()`, or `lhs.initialTransitionCode() == rhs.initialTransitionCode()` and `lhs.d_transitions < rhs.d_transitions`.
