Return `true` if there currently exists a file or directory at the specified `path`, and `false` otherwise. If `path` is a symlink, the result of this function is platform dependent. On POSIX/Unix platforms this method dereferences symlinks, while on Windows it does not. The parameterized `STRING_TYPE` must be one of `bsl::string`, `std::string`, `std::pmr::string` (if supported), `bsl::string_view`, or `bslstl::StringRef`.
