BloombergLP::balber::BerUtil_FloatingPointImpUtil::getDecimal64Value

Decode a BER-encoded 64-bit decimal value.

Synopsis

Declared in <balber_berutil.h>

static
int
getDecimal64Value(
    bdldfp::Decimal64* value,
    std::streambuf* streamBuf,
    int length);

Description

bytes as the contents octets of an encoded 64-bit decimal value. Return 0 if successful, and a non-zero value otherwise. The behavior is undefined unless length is non-negative. The operation succeeds if length bytes are successfully read from the input sequence of the streamBuf without the read position becoming unavailable, and the bytes read contain a valid representation of the contents octets of an encoded 64-bit decimal value. See the package-level documentation of {balber} for the definition of the format used to encode 64-bit decimal values.

Return Value

0 on success, and a non-zero value otherwise
